Healthy Food, Diet and Eating
An Easy-To-Follow Guide

Any inner and outer beauty plan must include healthy food , a clean diet and balanced eating. But, what is healthy and what is not healthy? This can be very confusing. My simple formula is to eat for your body, the best you can, about 80% of the time. The healthiest simple eating plan, backed by experience and science, seems to be the Mediterranean Diet, as described in an included article. But, don't forget to have fun with food the other 20% of the time. When I was the sickest in my life, I didn't follow this 80/20 principle. It took a wake-up call of a serious illness to get me back on track of eating healthy food, exercising and getting on high-quality nutritional supplements.

Right now I am experimenting with raw foods, dehydration, nutritional shakes and juicing from what I learned while working at Sanoviv . But I keep the Mediterranean eating plan as my foundation.

How does nutrition affect the cells of our body? Dr. Myron Wentz describes what he discovered about cellular nutrition from years of studying cells in the laboratory. He learned that the single most important factor in the health of cells was proper nutrition. Finally, he gives an overview of other lifestyle factors that affect cellular health and well-being.I first read about Dr. Wentz in 1995 and I've been a fan ever since. I dedicated myself to educating others about his nutritional discoveries, health products and the Sanoviv Medical Center in Mexico.

Where did the Mediterranean, or Greek, diet begin? This article explains why Greeks paid special attention to nutritional matters because they believed that a proper diet of healthy food was a precondition for the well being of the body and the mind. In fact, a healthy diet and nutritional intervention were very common means of maintaining health. This article encourages people to develop ways to return to healthy lifestyles, because all people can have an attitude toward life similar to the ancient Greeks; loving life and living it to its fullest!

When I worked at Sanoviv , I enjoyed daily healthy drinks of fresh vegetable juices during the day and coconut milk before bed. I discovered that a lot of healing exists in beverages. Is what we drink just as important as the food we consume? What are the best beverages? What is better: coffee or tea? Cow's milk or soy milk? How much?

What role do fats play in our health other than weight gain? Which are the good fats and bad fats? What is their connection to degenerative diseases such as diabetes?
